The postcode for your Sat Nav is DT11 8RBJ. The entrance to Blandford Camp is situated at the end of Black Lane which is accessible from Blandford Forum.
This entrance is signposted on your approach to Blandford - look out for the brown satellite signs.
On arrival at Blandford Camp, you will be directed to obtain a car pass. Parking is free but visitors must park in the designated Museum spaces.

A valid photo ID (such as a passport, driving licence, MoD90, PASS card, National identity card issued by an EEA state, Post Office pass, Freedom Pass or bus pass) is required by adults 16+ for admission onto Camp. A photograph on a mobile phone won't be accepted. Please telephone the Museum ahead of your visit if you are not sure you can provide the necessary photo ID.
DRIVING NOTICE: Occasionally, when driving through Camp, you will encounter marching soldiers. Please give way to marching soldiers when they are crossing the road, and do not overtake them.

Guided Tours: £30.00 plus admission (max 15 per guide)
Admission is free to serving members of the Corps, civil servants working on Blandford Camp and families who live on Blandford Camp. Just show your ID.

What about dogs?
Unfortunately, no dogs are permitted inside the Museum except guide and assistance dogs.
GROUP VISITS
The Royal Signals Museum weclomes dozens of group bookings each year, including coach tours and U3A.
A guided tour from our experienced team offers the opportunity to learn about early visual communications, Second World War coding, Cold War cryptography, as well as stories of modern warfare.
We work with you to ensure that we provide the resources that meet your needs. Guides can tour a maximum of 15 people each.
OUR COLLECTION
The Royal Signals Museum seeks to preserve the history and traditions of the Royal Corps of Signals. It also explores the history of military communications, from semaphore to satellite.
Among the stories and objects on display:

- Second World War AEC Armoured Command Vehicle
- tales of gallantry in our medal gallery (pictured)
- the daring exploits of animals at war
- clandestine SOE radios & eavesdropping gear
- motorcycles used for despatch and stunt displays
- military communications and information systems equipment, such as radios and computers
- cryptographic equipment from the Cold War

COMMUNICATIONS CAFE
From hearty breakfast meals and warm lunches, to quick snacks and cakes, Communications Cafe offers a range of options.
ACCESSIBILITY
We strive to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy our collection and exhibitions.
There is an access ramp at the front entrance to the Museum, as well as a lift between the lower and upper levels. Our lifts are wheelchair accessible. There is seating across our galleries and in Communications Café. In most places, these are mid-height chairs with backs.
The quietest times to visit the Museum are when the galleries first open, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. The quietest time to visit in the afternoon is before last entry at 3:00 pm.
Light levels are kept low inside our galleries to help preserve our collection. This is because UV and visible light can cause materials to alter their chemical state and result in long-term damage. We recognise that some people have issues with low-level lighting. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of our team upon arrival.
Toilets are located on the ground floor.
