Royal Signals Launches Charity Event to mark Falkland Islands Anniversary
1. Challenge will raise money for the Royal Signals Charity in memory of those who served and died in the Falklands Conflict.
2. Money raised will go to supporting the 3Rs community through moral, efficiency, welfare and benevolence grants.
Background
40 years ago, the Royal Signals played a vital role in Operation Corporate, the liberation of the Falkland Islands. To commemorate the anniversary, remember those who took part and create a lasting legacy, members of the Royal Signals are encouraged to raise money through sponsored challenges. The money raised will allow the Royal Signals Charity to directly support all Signallers.
In recent years, our annual fundraising drive of #100for100 and #Howfar raised over £100k for the Royal Signals Charity whilst building a sense of comradeship, pride and community.
Royal Signals' Charity Challenge - #FI40
The fundraising drive is one you set yourself, and gain sponsorship for. The theme is '40' to commemorate the anniversary, so maybe run 40 miles in 40 days, or get 40 people together for a physical challenge. All members of the Corps family are encouraged to take part, serving, retired, cadets and families between the dates 2 April – 14 June 2022.
